Common Concussion Symptoms
After an accident or injury, you may experience symptoms such as headache or head pressure, neck pain, nausea or vomiting, and dizziness or balance issues. Some people also notice blurred or double vision and increased sensitivity to light or noise.
Cognitive and visual symptoms are also common, including feeling slowed down or “foggy”, difficulty reading or concentrating, and memory issues. You may also experience fatigue or drowsiness, irritability, anxiety, or low mood, and trouble sleeping.
If symptoms persist beyond a few days, a specialized neuro-optometric evaluation can detect and treat visual conditions that often prolong concussion recovery.
